WiFi dead zones in Nedlands? Better Call Sia.

Nedlands is one of Perth's most prestigious and intellectually vibrant suburbs — home to UWA, Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital and some of Perth's finest schools. The problem

Why Nedlands homes struggle

with WiFi coverage

Every eero mesh WiFi Nedlands installation has to account for a distinctive set of WiFi challenges — different in character from nearby Dalkeith or Applecross, but equally demanding.

01

Heritage limestone construction

Many of Nedlands' most treasured homes were built in the 1920s through 1950s using limestone blocks — a home with limestone internal walls can lose 60–70% of signal strength through a single wall, far worse than modern double brick.

02

Large established homes on big blocks

Nedlands homes typically sit on generous 700–900m² blocks with large floor plans and multiple living areas — reliable whole-home coverage from a single router simply isn't achievable.

03

Medical and academic home offices

With the highest concentration of medical professionals and academics of any Perth suburb, telehealth consultations, research data transfers and VPN connections all require fast, reliable and secure home network connectivity.

04

University student households

With UWA just minutes away, student households tend to have high device counts — multiple laptops, streaming services and online gaming all competing for bandwidth simultaneously.

05

Mixed old and new construction

Heritage homes, mid-century properties and modern renovations each present different WiFi challenges — a professional site assessment is essential to identify the right solution.

06

One solution, done properly

A properly designed eero mesh WiFi Nedlands installation solves all five problems at once.

Why eero

Why eero is the right solution

for Nedlands homes

We've assessed and installed mesh WiFi systems across Nedlands and the broader City of Nedlands — eero consistently delivers the best results for this suburb's varied and challenging housing stock.

Performance

Penetrates limestone and thick brick walls

eero's mesh architecture places multiple nodes throughout the home — each one a full-strength WiFi source, rather than pushing a weakening signal through multiple walls from a single router.

Home office

Secure network for medical & academic professionals

eero Pro 7 supports WPA3 encryption, and network segmentation lets you create a separate guest network for students or visitors without exposing your primary work network.

Performance

Handles high device counts effortlessly

Each eero Pro 7 node supports up to 128 connected devices simultaneously — ideal for households with professionals working from home and students streaming and gaming.

Performance

UWA campus proximity — fast internet for research

eero Pro 7's tri-band architecture with dedicated backhaul ensures your home internet speed is delivered consistently to every device, not split between competing traffic streams.

in our Nedlands eero installation

A complete, end-to-end process — tailored to the specific challenges of your home.

Often achievable through roof cavities in Nedlands' established homes — we recommend it strongly for homes where medical or academic work is conducted.

05

Network security configuration

For Nedlands' medical and academic professionals, we configure WPA3 encryption, a separate secure work network, and a guest network for visitors.

06

Device migration & speed testing
